A principios del siglo XX, en Argentina empezaba el gusto por un deporte de origen inglés: el fútbol. Durante esta época en la zona había equipos medianamente organizados, uno de ellos era Independencia Sud, club del cual hay futuros integrantes de Boca Juniors. Tres de estos integrantes eran Baglietto, Sana, y los hermanos Farlenga, quienes acordaron la creación de la nueva institución; y se designó la primera Comisión Directiva.

El nombre que se eligió era Boca en honor al barrio, sin embargo, debido a que el mismo no tenia buena fama, Sana que estudiaba inglés le dio un toque distintivo agregándole el “Juniors”.

Así se formaba el 3 de abril de 1905, el Club Atlético Boca Juniors, uno de los clubes más grandes a nivel Mundial.

El 13 de abril de 1913 quedó registrado en los libros como el debut de Boca en Primera, y también llegó el primer superclásico del fútbol argentino. Boca y River compartían barrio, origen y una rivalidad que fue creciendo con los primeros años de competencia hasta convertirse en el clásico de clásicos de la Argentina y uno de los espectáculos más convocantes del fútbol mundial, recomendado por diarios y revistas del extranjero como un espectáculo imperdible al turista que anda de paso por la Argentina.

BOCA JUNIORS

In the early twentieth century, Argentina began the taste for a sport of English origin: football. During this time the area had fairly organized teams, one of them was Independence Sud, club which no future members of Boca Juniors. Three of these members were Baglietto, Sana, and Farlenga brothers, who agreed to create the new institution; and the first Board of Directors was appointed.

The name was chosen in honor Boca neighborhood, however, because it did not have a good reputation, studying English Sana gave a distinctive touch by adding the "Juniors".

Thus was formed on April 3, 1905, Club Atlético Boca Juniors, one of the biggest clubs Worldwide.

On April 13, 1913 was registered in the books as Boca debut in First, and also reached the first derby of Argentine football. Boca and River shared neighborhood, origin and a rivalry that grew over the first years of competition to become the classic of classics from Argentina and one of the organizers of world football shows, recommended by foreign newspapers and magazines as a show unmissable tourist walking step by Argentina.
